To support the Darebin Council with the re-launch of their This Girl Can activities, Auscycling will be providing an opportunity for women to try the indoor velodrome.
Situated at the John Cain Memorial Park, the indoor velodrome is 250 metres of timber track, allowing the rider to experience the thrill of riding on the boards away from traffic and the elements.
The session will be hosted by Monique Hanley, who will help you to get going and up onto the track with a focus on fun.
Track bikes are provided for you. These will have pedals with toe straps, so please wear runners or shoes with a rubber sole. If you don’t have a helmet, they are available at the track.
Wear what you feel comfortable riding a bike in, pants with a wide leg are not recommended.
Auscycling will follow recommended COVID safe guidelines for cleanliness and social distancing. For more information on how the Darebin Council is assisting the community through the challenges of COVID 19, go to
